I am a Maker, the ever curious adventurer
Earths energy resonates in everything we touch, if we sit still long enough, you can feel it.
I approach spatial and object design from an artistic process which continue to evolve until they feel right, and transcend conventional boundaries.
Each piece is hand crafted in my Boutique Studio located in Cambridge Ontario, Canada,. utilizing traditional wood working techniques, power carving, metal fabrication and locally sourced and sustainable materials.

Having spent over 30 years in Telecom, I knew my next career would be the polar opposite of the fast pace required to survive in global communications, it would be one of creativity, filled with quite solitude, one where gratification at the end of each day would come from something molded by my hands, and one where my travels would allow me to see and touch the simple things in life.
From an early age, I loved to create, I was always in my dads shop building something. In junior high school I sketched a house using charcoal, I did not know then that this creative desire in my mind would one day shape my second career.
I grew up one of twelve children on a farm in Alberta, where you learn very early the importance of making the most of whatever is presented to you in a given day and to show gratitude for those gifts which every form they come in. You learn to cherish and respect the creative differences of all those who surround you, and to draw on those differences for the purpose of enhancing a collective experience. Growing up in such a large and diverse family was the greatest gift,,,, it gave me grit and a determination to always learn, always step into the unknown, never say no to trying your hand at something, to never be afraid of making mistakes or the adventure.
