“A city-meets- country farmhouse, with modern rural charm” I was invited to work on this project by the tallented Susan Burns Designs, one of the most incredibly tallented interior designers I have had the pleasure to work with.
This project began with a visit to my studio by Susan and her client, something I believe very important, as this gives the client an opportunity to ask questions and to ensure I am the right maker for their specific project. From there it was off to do a site visit, something which helps set a design direction for the overall project.
Once back in the shop I went to work on drawings, which I presented to the client for approval. It is during this phase that we can make reiterations of the design, ensuring the client is going to love the end result. I will often provide the client with two of three drawings to choose from. Once approved, I go to work on the selection of wood spieces, milling, build and then finishing of each piece.
