Paisley Avenue

Private Home

The second of two sisters, who host massive family dinners on a regular basis, wanted a new dining table which could host at least 14 people, yet feel balanced this contemporary space.

We accomplished this with the design and build of a first growth solid Elm and Steel table. When the client saw us carring in the central beam, which was a large dead standing log she was a bit concerned as to how something so rustic would look in this very contempory new home. Once the table was installed (thanx to the 7 of us who carried the top in - extreamly heavy) the client was in-love…. for what we created was not just a dining table, but a sculpture of sorts…. a table which complemented the surrounding marble perfectly.

A bonus to this table is the clients two small children often disappear under the table and crawl along the log, using it as their own custom climbing jungle gym.

Project Scope: Design and build a 14’ dinning table which would become the focal point of this newly built home.
