CREII Objects, each is unique in size, shape and texture because of its handcrafted nature, I look to highlight the beauty found in imperfection while respecting the nature of the wood and the traditional craft.
This larger salad or decor bowl was made from a single piece of salvaged black cherry. The process of taking a piece such as this platter from a raw piece of wood to a finished product takes many hours an incredible amount of work and passion by the artist Mary.
Over time cracks will show in the wood, this is a natural process which only enhances the piece, they in them selves tell a story of the love of food shared over the years which inevitably become the heirloom pieces handed from generation to generation…. this is the beauty of wood, when cared for it will last many lifetimes.

Hand sculpted: Each Creii table top object has been hand sculpted from a single piece of wood in a manner which honours the rawness and irregularity of the chosen wood. We revel in the litte imperfections that give hand-touched work its distinctive character.
