For this project I utilized a 54” live edge walnut slab, and to get to the required dimensions, I incorporated bark shavings from the slab which I poured a smoke resin, creating a “River Table". I had 1/2” thick glass legs cut for this coffee table, which gives it the elusion of lightness as it floats on them. This client also purchased one of my hand carved walnut trays, which came from a very large first growth walnut tree.
